CashStar Terms and Conditions Regarding Purchase of IKEA Gift Cards and eGift Cards

  1. CashStar Terms

    IKEA Gift Cards and eGift Cards (collectively, “Cards”) purchased online at https://ikea-usa.cashstar.com are distributed by CashStar Inc., a Delaware corporation ("CashStar" or “we” or “us”). Purchase, acceptance or use of a Card purchased from CashStar constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions ("CashStar Terms"). CashStar reserves the right to change these CashStar Terms from time to time in its discretion.
  2. Card Terms

    IKEA Cards are issued by IKEA North America Services, LLC, a Virginia limited liability company, and not by CashStar. Terms and conditions apply to you purchase, use or redemption of the Cards (“Card Terms”). Please visit www.IKEA-USA.com/terms for complete Card Terms, which may be amended by IKEA North America Services, LLC at any time. The Card Terms are separate from the CashStar Terms, which govern only the purchase and fulfillment of the Cards. IKEA North America Services, LLC, and not CashStar, is solely responsible for determining the Card Terms. No subsidiaries or affiliates of IKEA North America Services, LLC shall be liable to the cardholder with respect to a Card. As provided in more detail in the Card Terms:
    1. Cards are redeemable only for purchases of merchandise, services, food, and beverages at participating IKEA locations in the United States and online at www.IKEA-USA.com.
    2. Cards are not redeemable for cash except as required by law.
    3. Cards do not expire, and no fees of any kind will be charged against the unused balance of Cards.
    4. You may not use a Card to purchase other Cards.
    5. Cards cannot be reloaded, resold, or transferred for value, except to the extent required by law.
    6. The value of any lost, damaged or stolen Cards will not be replaced.
  3. View Your Balance

    To check card balance visit any IKEA Store in the United States or call 1-888-888-IKEA(4532).
  4. Returns

    You may not return or cancel your Card after it is received. Purchasers who wish to cancel a Card purchase prior to its delivery to a recipient should contact CashStar’s Customer Support prior to the delivery date selected during the purchase process.
  5. Our Policies

    Purchases of IKEA Cards are subject to CashStar's Privacy Policy. CashStar and IKEA North America Services, LLC may provide Card purchasers with information about the redemption status of Cards.
  6. Risk of Loss

    Ownership and risk of loss of the Cards passes to the recipient as soon as the Card is delivered to the designated carrier (plastic Gift Cards) or activated (eGift Cards). We are not responsible for lost or stolen Cards. If you have any questions, please see the FAQs.
  7. IKEA Card Customer Service

    If you need assistance with any aspect of your purchase, ownership, or use of your IKEA Card, please contact CashStar’s Customer Support. Please refer to your order number, or be ready to supply your email address.
  8. Payment Methods

    IKEA Cards may be paid for with a valid VISA, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express.
  9. Delivery Information and Requirements for Card Purchasers

    All orders of IKEA Cards are subject to a process that compares purchaser information provided on the web site with information about the purchaser provided by the purchaser's financial institution. If there is a discrepancy, your Card order may be delayed until it can be corrected.
    IKEA eGift Cards purchased after 6pm Eastern Standard Time may not be activated until the following day. Allow up to 24 hours for eGift Card activation before contacting us. .
    If you have concerns about your order, please contact CashStar’s Customer Support. Please refer to your order number, or be ready to supply your email address.
    We are not responsible for Cards that are undeliverable or not received due to your failure to enter an accurate physical address or email address for the recipient. Please check to make sure the address of the recipient is correct and contact CashStar’s Customer Support if you suspect the recipient did not receive his/her Card.
  10. Reasons for Failed Delivery of IKEA eGift Cards

    IKEA eGift Cards are delivered via email. If you have confirmed the recipient's email address but the IKEA eGift Card has not been viewed within a reasonable period after the requested delivery date, following is a list of the most common reasons why delivery may have failed:
    1. Spam filter blocked email or routed it to a bulk/spam folder
    2. Recipient's firewall blocked the email
    3. Email inbox is over size limit
    4. Invalid email address
    If a spam filter is blocking emails from getting to an inbox, the email options will need to be modified so that emails are not considered spam.

  11. Personalized Messaging

    If you wish to add a personal message to an IKEA Card, simply type your message in the Message field on the Card preview.
    Personal messages are limited in length to the space provided on the Card.
    There is no additional charge to include a personalized message.
    If we find inappropriate, offensive or otherwise objectionable messages, we reserve the right to cancel them. Thank you for your cooperation.
  12. Limitation of Liability

    CASHSTAR, ITS AFFILIATES, AND IKEA NORTH AMERICA SERVICES, LLC MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT TO CARDS, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IF A CARD IS NON-FUNCTIONAL, YOUR SOLE REMEDY, AND OUR SOLE LIABILITY, SHALL BE THE REPLACEMENT OF SUCH CARD. CERTAIN STATE LAWS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES. IF THESE LAWS APPLY TO YOU, SOME OR ALL OF THE ABOVE DISCLAIMERS, EXCLUSIONS, OR LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU, AND YOU MIGHT HAVE ADDITIONAL RIGHTS.
  13. Governing Law and Disputes

    The laws of the State of Maine, without regard to principles of conflict of laws, will govern these CashStar Terms. You hereby consent that any dispute with CashStar or its affiliates relating in any way to IKEA Cards shall be adjudicated in Cumberland County, Maine if the aggregate total claim for relief exceeds $7,500, and you consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue in such courts. As provided in the Card Terms, the Cards are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, and any dispute concerning the Card Terms shall be subject to arbitration as provided in the Card Terms.
